Atlanta
Michael Inman grew up immersed in great art as the son of a well known Atlanta based illustrator. At age 13 he began classical art training at Atlanta College of Art. After a stint as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army it was on to Sarasota to study illustration at Ringling College of Art & Design. While attending RCAD he was encouraged by motion picture studio recruiters to pursue a career in animation. In addition to his work in television and film he has worked as a whitewater river guide, has a love for the outdoors, hiking and plein air painting.
In 1997 Michael relocated to the Los Angeles area to be close to "where the action is" and soon found himself very busy working on a variety of animated productions for studios such as Warner Bros, Dreamworks, Disney, Universal, Nickelodeon, Sony, Film Roman, Bento Box, Cartoon Network and Marvel among many others. In 2008 he traveled to Jerusalem to work on a film for Animation Lab for two months.
In addition to the varied animated productions he's worked on, Walt Disney Publishing execs encouraged him in 2000 to create his own studio and to hire/art direct his own hand picked group of freelance artists and since then he and his stable of artists have provided hundreds of bg and character paintings for many Disney/Pixar themed storybooks.
Disney/Pixar/Marvel storybook illustrations for: Brave, Cars, Finding Nemo, The Lion King, Beauty & The Beast, Cinderella, The Princess & The Frog, Toy Story, The Mighty Thor, The Uncanny X-Men, The Amazing Spider-Man, Captain America
