    Michael Chasen is an entrepreneur in the Social Local Mobile (SoLoMo), technology, and education space. After co-founding the e-learning software company Blackboard Inc., he served as CEO for 15 years, growing it into a market leader used by 20 million students and faculty at over 20,000 institutions in more than 70 countries. In 2011, Michael sold Blackboard to Providence Equity Partners for $1.7 billion.

    He is currently the CEO of SocialRadar, which he founded in 2013. The SocialRadar app merges the data from social networks and geolocation to enable people to connect more smartly in the real world.

    Michael is also an investor and advisor to several companies, both startup and mature, across the technology and education spectrums.

    Michael has a degree in Computer Programming from American University and an MBA from Georgetown University. He is popular on the speaker circuit, regularly invited internationally to illuminate and entertain entrepreneurs, institutions, corporations, educators, and students by sharing his business experiences and personal observations on how digital technology has and will continue to revolutionize how people meet, learn, and teach.
