Los Angeles
Communicating new ways to keep LA moving is a daily challenge for Melissa Rosen, the Senior Art Director at LA Metro. Melissa is involved with all things visual for Metro’s design group – leading and inspiring, strategizing and directing, solving and suggesting. She works closely with Metro’s Creative Director, designers and production artists; photographers and illustrators; filmmakers and copywriters; and most importantly, Metro’s internal and external partners to shape strategic visual communications for the nation’s third-largest transit agency. Metro's design work has been a critical component in successfully winning new riders and new funding for transportation.
The best part about being at Metro, she says, is the wide variety of projects and the thrill of seeing our efforts change the way LA moves.
Prior to joining the team at Metro, Melissa created annual reports and corporate communications at Santa Monica design firm Baker Brand Communications. A 1997 graduate of the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, she also held positions at design firms of varying sizes and disciplines in Chicago, San Diego, Boston and Columbus.
