With over 18 years of financial services experience, she has worked for some of the best firms on Wall Street including Goldman Sachs, Mercer Advisors, and Raymond James. In 2017, she finally got fed up with the good old boys club and Corporate America. Determined to change the outdated mentality of her industry, Mel started an independent financial planning practice geared towards educating and empowering successful Gen X&Y on how to CREATE and manage wealth. Her clients work with her to gain advice on how to tackle life's unexpected moments like losing a job as well as plan for financial goals like buying a home and saving for the future. The reason she is so passionate about what she does is because 23 years ago her parents went through a nasty divorce, leaving her mom financially devastated. Since then, they have worked to build a large retirement nest egg, completely pay off the mortgage and achieve the highest credit score possible. Mel believes that all women, regardless of whether they are in a relationship or not, should be able to stand on their own two feet when it comes to financial independence.
