A native Texan, Matt and his family have called Denver, Colorado home for nearly 10 years now. It was a thirst for adventure and an affinity for wild places that brought him here, and the same passions that motivated him to start his first business.
In 2013 Matt and his wife Shannon launched an outdoor adventure company, Expedition Backcountry Adventures. Expedition is a family owned outdoor adventure company here in Denver. Expedition designs identity shaping experiences through adventure based excursions. Through Retreat, Wilderness, and Education programs they interface with clients from across the country.
In addition to leading Expedition, as of November 1st, 2016 Matt is also the CEO and co-owner of Core Ventures: a Denver based recruiting, leadership development, and consulting firm. Next to being a husband and father, it is his greatest privilege to own and operate two businesses that have significant impact on so many great people.
