Matt has worked as developer for over 15 years and has a full understanding of all aspects of development (server side, client side, and mobile). Matt graduated Magna Cum Laude from Vassar College with a degree in computer science. He has worked for many clients in New York including, Nike, IBM, Pfizer, MTV, Chanel, Verizon, Goldman Sachs, AARP, and BAM. In his free time, Matt plays jazz.

What is your favorite technical skill to work with on your own projects and why?
TypeScript: it's everything JavaScript should be and more.

SQL: It's incredibly useful and easy to understand
What is most important to you about teaching technical skills at General Assembly?
Deep comprehension of the core concepts .
What advice do you have for anyone looking to learn technical skills to reach new career goals?
Be able to do everything without AI first, then add it in later as a support (as opposed to a crutch)
What would you like to highlight about your experience in your technical domain outside of teaching?
I'm good at solving difficult problems in simple ways.
