Masaya ("Mas") Uchino practices business law in California and has a wide array of experience both in consulting businesses as well as litigation. Mas is a graduate of Brandeis University, where he graduated with honors in Politics and Economics, and earned his law degree at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He began his practice at a boutique international business firm that specializes in advising start-ups and US subsidiaries of companies from Japan and around the world. Mas incorporated dozens of companies and assisted in negotiating numerous major business deals that ranged up to $100 million. Mas then went abroad to the South Pacific and worked as an Assistant Attorney General in American Samoa. Working at the Office of the Attorney General, Mas gained significant experience in litigation, taking 10 cases to trial and negotiating dozens of settlements. Mas currently works as a contract attorney for a number of law firms, advising businesses on a full range of issues as well as assisting with nation-wide class action litigation. While not practicing law, Mas plays in community orchestras around the Bay Area, enjoys the outdoors, and is planning his next trip to somewhere new in the world.
