Mark first caught the spreadsheet bug when he was exposed to Lotus 1-2-3 on the PC, and saw the potential for solving business problems despite his young age and the text-based interface. He has used all the following versions of Excel to build financial models, explore large data sets, and even design layouts for hardwood floors! Mark previously worked in Finance at Microsoft where he had the opportunity to provide feedback to the Excel team on features when he wasn’t analyzing data. He also designed analytical systems for Microsoft’s Display Advertising business and taught users how to interpret and use data to meet business goals. He is currently a Sr. Technical Product Manager at Magento, the leading ecommerce platform. Mark holds an MBA with distinction from London Business School and lives in Austin with his wife and four children. When he’s not analyzing data, you’ll probably find him watching pro cycling in his spare time.
