Maree Beare is the founder and CEO of Wanngi, a health management app for people with chronic conditions who see multiple doctors who feel vulnerable, out of control and helpless in managing their health.

Maree is passionate about using innovative technology to positively impact the lives of others. She is renowned as a forward-thinking leader in the technology sector, with extensive experience advising leading organizations in transforming their businesses and delivering high-profile technology programs.

In early 2017 Maree realized that people are disconnected from their health information, and a mobile application that champions the best health treatment for people by empowering them and their doctor to make informed decisions about their wellbeing was desperately needed in the market. Maree’s company has invested in three years of research, working in conjunction with the medical fraternity and government, to better understand the problems people are facing when they have a medical condition and the treatments they receive.

Maree believes people need to be educated to the opportunity to easily start collecting their own health information, so it prompts curiosity about their symptoms, medications and treatment so they can better communicate to their health care providers to make informed decisions to better engage in and manage their health.

Her work with Wanngi has been recognized by Forbes in the top 50 women-led startups disrupting HealthTech and CNET, showing the Australian company is becoming a growing influence in the digital health sector. She was also named in the top 100 Women in Wearables for 2019.
