Marcus thinks about the downstream impacts of whatever he designs because he holds himself with a high standard of responsibility for the future of society. Utilizing UX design principles for social impact excites him because he will be able to create products and systems to support systemic change for historically underinvested people.
Currently Marcus is working at a consulting firm called Attain where he works with various government clients to design applications focused on mental health, conduct usability studies on mental health related products, and redesign internal military websites.
Marcus was born and raised in Washington state. In 2019 he completed General Assembly’s UX Design Immersive at the Seattle campus. While he’s not at work you can find him visiting his local plant store, trying out the newest restaurants in the city, and thrifting.
