Luke Hammer

Lead Instructor, Software Engineering Immersive, General Assembly Sydney

Sydney

Luke Hammer has been programming for over 25 years, and making websites for 20 of those. Luke has a university degree in computer science/arts and has worked on web projects in multiple cities of Australia and Europe. He maintains that he is still learning, and hopes this makes him sympathetic to new students of the craft.

Luke feels there's never been a better time to work with the web, and that it's potentially one of humanity's most game-changing inventions. He is convinced that programming can both be a tool to help us understand the universe, and also a unique form of self-expression for sharing our ideas with the world.

In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Luke has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.
