Ligmie Preval

Head of User Experience Operations, athenahealth

Boston

Ligmie Preval is Head of User Experience Operations at athenahealth, which provides cloud-based healthcare services. She previously led the User Research team that was responsible for providing end user insights of the digital experiences related to the patient management sector of the cloud-based EHR. In addition to establishing operational processes and management for a team of over ninety UX team members, she strives to highlight the direct relationship between a good user experience and a company’s bottom line and reputation. Ligmie also teaches User Experience Design at General Assembly Boston.

Ligmie holds a MS in Instructional Technology and Media from Teachers College, Columbia University and a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from Wilson College. Some of her interest include behavioral learning theory, games in education, promoting gender equity in the STEM and SOUL CYCLE.
