Laura Veith is the Head of People at Eave (though in true start-up fashion, she also does marketing, market development, finance, legal, and recently became a certified loan officer, amongst other things.) She splits her time between Denver and NYC. She joined Eave as its 10th employee in early 2017 before the product launched. Prior to Eave, she led HR teams for Etsy, Gawker Media, The Huffington Post, Patch and Urban Outfitters. Before her career in HR she had a brief foray as a practicing attorney. She left law to work on more preventative measures and build things that people love. She is passionate about employee engagement, and in particular the neuroscience behind what motivates people. She holds degrees from Pace University and Widener University School of Law, but doesn't really care about all that -- because it amplifies unconscious bias and undermines diversity. You can most often find her running, or reading a book (with actual physical pages) when she's not at work. Say hi!
