Lance Trueb is the Social Media Community Program Manager for REI. Lance develops campaign and brand-level social strategies that align with business objectives, inspire REI's 5.5 million members and showcase that a life outdoors is a live well-lived. Lance was a key contributor to the social strategy and execution behind #OptOutside, a movement launched by REI that included closing all stores on Black Friday and paying all 12,000 employees to take the day off to be outside. Lance holds a Masters in Communication Leadership from the University of Washington and can be found cycling, running and day-hiking around Seattle with his wife.
