Kristin Calkins is the Senior Transportation Planner for DC’s Office of Planning. She has 8 years of experience in transportation planning and is a Certified Planner by the American Planning Association. She has a wide range of experience in planning; including long range transportation planning, land use planning, corridor studies, and public outreach.
Prior to joining the Office of Planning, Kristin worked at the Fairfax County Department of Transportation as a Senior Transportation Planner where she managed multiple studies and plan amendments. As Office of Planning’s Senior Transportation Planner she is responsible for the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan and works to further mobility options in the District.
Kristin has a Masters in Geography from the George Washington University and BA in Social Science from California State University Stanislaus.
