Kelly grew up in the northeast and pursued a writing career following college. After two years as a newspaper reporter, she moved to Austin in 2009 for a lifestyle change from the tundra of Buffalo, NY. She built a career in Austin in sales and corporate training, entering the edtech scene for the latter two years before flirting with the idea of getting back into writing. Reading Built In Austin daily, she unveiled the opportunity to actually work for Built In as their local writer. Now here we are, merging together her love for this city, the tech and startup community and writing.
