    Kayla works on the Amazon.com Sustainability team managing programs to reduce packaging waste. Her work sits at the intersection between economy and the environment by eliminating both financial and material waste. Kayla joined Amazon earning her MBA and MS in Energy and Earth Resource from the University of Texas at Austin. During graduate school she focused on the interaction between business operations and sustainability based on a belief that the quickest way to reduce environmental impact is to eliminate operational waste. Prior to graduate school, Kayla spent five years managing policy and urban planning initiatives in Portland, Oregon. Her time in the Pacific Northwest fostered her passion for conservation and sustainability, and continues to fuel her desire to have a positive impact career.
