Even at school, Katie was passionate about photography and design and studied Fashion Design at The Whitehouse and Photography at CATC. However, the family business was calling.
Asked to step in to help out with photography from time to time, Katie started in earnest on a trip through Central and South America, India and Indonesia to photograph origins for the publishing company’s first Coffee Encounters book.
She hasn’t stopped the photography or the travel and is today the Head of Design for Smudge Publishing. Bringing all of her design talents to the table,
Katie heads a team that produces stunning, hardcover, coffee table books as well as a website and newsletter that have fans the world over.
Katie balances work with many pursuits including snowboarding, surfing and riding her motorbike on country roads.
