Katie Crawley
Senior User Researcher and UX Designer
Katie is a Seattle-based Senior User Researcher & UX Designer with a background in ethnographic research, linguistics, digital marketing, strategy and communication. She has lived, worked and studied across the U.S. and Europe, and allows that knowledge and 15 years of professional experience to help inform her research and design decisions. Katie is a graduate of the first GA UX Design Immersive cohort in Seattle, but began her research career as a Master's student in the Endangered Language Documentation and Description program at London's School of Oriental & African Studies in 2009. Since making the full-time transition to UX research and design consulting, she has worked with everything from start-ups like Flipt and Koverse, outdoor industry eCommerce clients like Simms Fishing, to enterprise clients such as Adobe and BECU. In addition to her work in the UX world, she also teaches courses at General Assembly and serves on the Executive Board of the Seattle chapter of AIGA as the Events Vice President.
