For over a decade, Karen has worked both in-house and as a freelance consultant, for Fortune 500 companies and startups alike. Her work includes a range of products and brand initiatives for ad tech, finance, banking, hospitality, project management, and federal agencies. She has a soft spot for startups and women entrepreneurs because she didn't know of many growing up and relishes the chance to work with them to find their path and succeed. One of Karen's mantras as a designer and aspiring educator is this: Remember there are very real and very busy humans on the other side of that screen; treat them like people and help them get things done. In her spare time she enjoys trail running, salsa, traveling and riding bikes with her 4-year old.
