Julian Himes
Julian is a research director at the New York City Department of Education, working primarily on the city's teacher evaluation system and student growth model. His background is in philanthropy and international policy, and his interests include hiking, surfing and independent music. Prior to joining General Assembly and the NYCDOE, Julian worked at the International Network for Bamboo and Rattan, a Chinese organization focused on promoting the use of sustainable building materials in low-income and post-crisis areas. He believes that analytical skills are indispensable to modern life.
