Joshua Flannery
Director, Sydney Startup Hub
As the Director of Sydney Startup Hub, Joshua leads programs across the largest hub of its kind in the Asia-Pacific, containing 4 major co-working spaces and 420+ early stage companies. Prior to this he has established and grown the University of New South Wales startup programs and community, supporting over 700 startups and attracting $15M in funding and donations to the university during his tenure.
He is also a co-founder of Innovation Dojo, a company that incubates ideas for Australian and Asian markets and holds a board advisory position with Haymarket HQ, Australia’s first Asia focused co-working space. Joshua has spent six years living in Asia including three years as founder and Managing Director for an edtech venture in Japan. Joshua conceived and brought to market the "Study Abroad Pocket Guide", a magazine with a circulation of 480,000 and has advised hundreds of early stage startups across multiple industries in his various roles.
