Johnathan is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and former Air Force Officer, having honorably served for the better part of 6 years as a Scientific Analyst at 3 different duty stations (including 1 tour of duty in Iraq). His roles included Production Analyst for HQ Air Force Recruiting Service, Operations Research Analyst for Multi-National Forces Iraq and Lead Operational Test Analyst/Flight Test Engineer for Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center. He is a veteran with an inquisitive mind and a passion for Data.
Upon his departure from the Armed Services, Johnathan joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a management consultant. Over the next 4 years, Johnathan honed his consulting skills and mastered the art of intellectual capital as it relates to Data Mining.
After his time at Booz Allen Hamilton, Johnathan contracted in data-focused roles for over 3 years with clients ranging from from Fortune 100 companies to local start-ups. These clients conducted business in a variety of different industries, including Insurance, Banking, Retail Supply Chain, Medical Operations, Mobile Application Development, Online Travel Commerce and Energy Commerce.
Through it all Johnathan believes that, at its core, Data Analysis is industry and software agnostic; the methodologies and rules that govern data apply to all data.
Most recently, Johnathan was Database Administrator for Apollo Endosurgery in Austin. In this capacity he served as the company’s primary "data steward," ensuring all data structures are properly fine-tuned for performance and stability.
