John is a co-founder and Managing Director of Assembled Brands. Assembled Brands is re-inventing venture financing for the 21st century. We believe that every product in every category is going to be reinvented and the incumbent financial system is not prepared for what is coming.
Backed with $100m from Oaktree, Assembled Brands provides working capital, services and community to rapidly growing consumer brands. Assembled Brands leverages data from multiple systems to benchmark its portfolio and prospects.
Prior to Assembled Brands, John was the CFO/Cofounder of five companies that grew from early stage to greater than $100m in revenue including General Assembly and Second Life. John has a masters degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from Harvard Business School. John lives on a family farm in Rancho Santa Fe with his wife, four kids and about 67 animals depending on the day.
