    John Orr - Manager Transportation Access and Mobility Division (TAM). He leads and coordinates the efforts of 30 transportation planners as part of Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) Center for Livable Communities.

    John joined ARC in 1998, as a Senior Principal Planner. He replaced Jane Hayse as Manager, who was promoted to Director of the Center for Livable Communities which is now lead by Mike Alexander after Janes Haynes retirement. Before joining ARC, he was the Senior Planner in charge of long-range planning for the Athens-Clarke County Planning Department as well as for the Albany-Dougherty Planning Commission. John graduated from the University of Tennessee with a MS degree in Planning.

    He graduated from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise with a BA degree in Business and Public Administration. He is a member of the American Planning Association and received his professional planner designation from the American Institute of Certified Planners in 1994.

    He is a graduate of the Atlanta Regional Leadership Institute and the ARC Leadership Academy.
