Joe Garcia

Senior Design Manager, Blackboard

Joe is currently a senior design manager at Blackboard and is in the process of building up the product design team. He has been sharing his knowledge of the design process to better understand users through design research and is helping Blackboard build more human centered products. He has a strong knowledge of design thinking, branding and visual communications and has worked with clients ranging from the Department of Defense to the National Geographic Channel. He often tries to orchestrate experiences that meet the users needs but can be supported by the business. Joe holds a MFA in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
