Jessica van Dop DeJesus is a Washington, DC is a travel media specialist and the editor of the foodie travel blog The Dining Traveler. She began traveling as a young US Marine 18 years ago and has been to 41 countries on and off duty. She spent most of her post-collegiate years overseas, starting with a tour in Okinawa, Japan and most recently spent 6 years in Belgium (with a year in Germany in between). She comes from a bi-cultural upbringing as she split her childhood between Puerto Rico and Western NY State. All of these experiences gives her broad perspective on food and travel. She catapulted her blog experience into a career as a travel media specialist focusing on content creation and social media management for the travel and food industry.Her content has been featured in publications such as Travel Channel, USA Today, Budget Travel, Edible DC, Telemundo, Hipmunk, and INK361.
