    Jessica Bell works as a developer for The Washington Post, primary on front end and JavaScript projects. She holds a degree in International Relations from San Fransisco State. Professionally she enjoys working with API's, writing clean, commented code, making fun interactive websites, and learning all the time. Other interests include intersection of learning and technology - particularly in tech companies or about products aimed at developers, digital storytelling, and media.

    Jessica is very active in the DC Tech scene with previous time on the leadership teams for DC Tech Meetup, DCFemTech, DC ACM and Women Who Code DC. Her current project is DC Tech Stories, a podcast about local tech workers and serves on the ACM Distinguished Speakers Committee.

    Her free time is filled with cooking projects, learning computer programming and code, reading science fiction, biking the DC metro area, keeping up with my German, and planning international getaways.
