Scientific Games’ Vice President of Insights for the Lottery Group. In this role, she is responsible for global consumer and retail insights including

primary and secondary research, predictive analytics, business intelligence, marketing information systems and retail development. The role of the Lottery Insights team is to take data from disparate sources, aggregate it into accurate information, then extract meaningful insights into easy-to-understand deliverables for internal and external customers to put into revenue-generating action. Within her first year of making the switch to Scientific Games, she was awarded a 1st place PGRI Smart Tech Award for research innovation. In 2013, Ms. Welshons proposed a restructure to create a true Insights team as part of a modern business approach to the value of research and data. With the critical need for real-time business intelligence to drive meaningful innovation and growth, the general marketing function was spun off and the Lottery Insights team was created to allow this focus. Ms. Welshons spends the majority of her time as a single-mother raising her 14 year old daughter, Shelby. Striking the work-life balance is never easy, but she does her best to give Shelby the gift of experience in exploring the world in ways that other kids do not always have the opportunity to do.
