JD Weinstein serves as Principal of WPP Ventures, the strategic venture capital fund for WPP, the world's largest marketing communications company. WPP Ventures focuses on venture investments in tech-enabled companies in the following industries: MarTech, Big Data & Market Intelligence, RetailTech, AdTech, and Content. Prior to WPP, JD worked with Capital Factory in as a Venture Associate, where he was responsible for deal sourcing & due diligence for the CF Accelerator & venture fund.

Prior to Capital Factory, JD worked with the UT Horizon Fund, the strategic market-driven venture fund for the University of Texas System. He focused on early stage investments in technology, software, communications, digital media, and health care. JD served as University-Wide Representative at the University of Texas at Austin and sponsored the legislation to create the Longhorn Entrepreneurship Agency. Today, he serves as an advisor to LEA and the Freshman Founders’ Program at UT. JD received his BS in Political Communication from The University of Texas at Austin. Outside of the startup ecosystem, JD is a certified paddleboard yoga instructor and diehard Texas Longhorn Basketball fan.
