Jason Fletcher

Founder & CEO, Dev Pipeline

Salt Lake City

Jason Fletcher, Founder and CEO of Dev Pipeline, delivers over 30 years of software development experience, entrepreneurial success and rock star team building. A serial entrepreneur, creator, and visionary with a successful track record in technology-based ventures, Jason is dedicated to giving back and creating passion in others.

From his early days as Co-Founder of a project management software company AtTask (now called Workfront recently acquired by Adobe for $1.5B https://tcrn.ch/3n8MWXZ); to his involvement in new and emerging technology spaces, most recently as the CTO and Co-Founder of fintech BlytzPay https://www.blytzpay.com/; and as the Founder of Midlera, a data aggregation software company – Jason has exemplified leadership, creativity, problem solving and excellence in all of his endeavors.

Now, with Dev Pipeline, Jason has created a means to carry out his passion for giving back and mentoring. The driving forces behind Dev Pipeline’s mission are: How do we prepare developers beyond just the technical skills and also help them with the soft skills that they need to be successful? How do we drive passion and purpose in others while simultaneously indoctrinating positive experiences and exposure to healthy work culture? The solution is Dev Pipeline, a mentorship and apprenticeship refuge where junior developers can hone their skills while working side-by-side with experienced developers and mentors. During their paid internships, these junior developers are engaged, trained and guided into more marketable skillsets and assisted with job acquisition. Dev Pipeline bridges the gap between education and landing that first junior developer role.

Always passionate about teaching and helping others, Jason has paid it forward by participating in the education of both adult and high school students, developing curriculum and teaching high school and continuing education courses through Utah Valley State College’s Mountainland Applied Technology Center. . And despite a long list of accolades and awards, Jason’s most treasured accomplishment is his family. His never-ending contributions to those whom he loves — his wife Jennifer, their four children and soon to be born first grandson — as well as his extended family, his community and church are perhaps the consummate expressions of who Jason Fletcher is as a person.

As an All American athlete, Jason set numerous high school and college records in the hurdles, sprints and relays. The high school record Jason set for the 300m intermediate hurdles still stands today. In college, he was the two-time region 18 champ in the 400m intermediate hurdles and the 110m high hurdles, was silver medalist in the 400m hurdles, and had the fastest NJCAA 400m intermediate hurdle time in the nation in the 1996 season. And just like everything he does, once he’s mastered something, he gives back to others seeking excellence. He served as assistant track coach at Timpanogos High School for three years, and proudly coached three hurdlers to break school records of their own.

Jason’s other interests include travel, studying languages, volunteering and genealogy. During his two-year mission to Portugal Jason became fluent in Portuguese. He is a member of the National Genealogical Society and loves learning about and sharing his family history. He is also volunteering his time to serve on the Executive committee that is drafting a new version of the GEDCOM specification (which is for exchanging genealogical data.)

Jason lives in Utah with his wife Jennifer and their 4 children.
