    James Christie is passionate about creating excellent and accessible experiences, grounded on research, usability and performance. James loves to work directly with clients - sketch pad in hand - ready to collaborate on new ideas and perspectives.

    James combines his earlier front-end coding skills with his true passion of experience design, including requirements analysis, prototyping, design strategy and psychology.

    Prior to Mad*Pow, he was a User Centered Design consultant for Pearson, the world's biggest educational publisher, where he designed software tools for teachers and students and worked on ecommerce systems and intranets.

    James holds a BA in Human Geography from the University of Cambridge. Since moving to Mad*Pow he’s started a secondary career as a presenter and writer on the topics of web sustainability, performance, and responsive design.He is also is the co-founder and host of Sustainable UX, an annual, online conference for UX, front-end, and product people who want to make a positive impact on climate-change, social equality, and inclusion.
