Jacob Koehler

Jacob Frias Koehler is an independent educator. His interests lie at the intersection of history of science and technology and the teaching and learning of mathematics. He completed his PhD at Columbia University under the direction of Dr. Bruce Vogeli, where his dissertation focused on the history of technologies of schooling in the United States. Jacob currently teaches mathematics and computing courses at The New School, The Borough of Manhattan Community College, General Assembly, and the Carpentries Foundation.
