Irene is a technical specialist with a love for all things data. Drawing on extensive analytical experience across retail, services, government and academic research, she provides advanced analytics support to clients who want to get more out of their data.
As an analyst at Statistics New Zealand (the ABS of NZ), Irene learned the power of data to influence decisions and effect change. She then honed her data wrangling, modelling and presentation skills at several research agencies before moving on to bigger and better data at the global marketing services firm, Acxiom. Here, she mined very large and often chaotic client datasets to deliver strategic and tactical recommendations to some of Australia’s top companies, as well as overseeing the development of various research and data products.
Irene now works as an independent consultant across the research and IT industries, with a joint focus on development, implementation and insight. Her recent projects include bespoke natural language processing software and the pre-analysis data investigation tool, KnowThyData.io.
