    Ingrid van der Wacht

Chair Membership Committee, World Design Week

    Atlanta

Ingrid founded her own company Factor-I (2001), where she works as a connector, communicator and conceptor with a focus on co/design for people and the planet.

Over the years she has initiated projects for the use of design as a driver for social innovation, economic growth, and sustainable development. She has extensive experience in cross-sectorial partnerships between public authorities, industries, businesses and designers – and may be first and foremost the users - with a focus on new methodologies to co-design.

It is Ingrid’s belief that the creative power of design - when well managed and well understood - can help us solve problems the world faces today. She often speaks at national and international congresses about Dutch design for social and economic innovation and the developments and results in Brainport, the region of Eindhoven in particular. As a connector, she also facilitates congresses, workshops, and events. Ingrid received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Tilburg, studied French and marketing.
