Ilan is an investing expert and a founding team member of Betashares ETFs - a local born and bred manager of exchange traded funds (‘ETFs’). Ilan is currently responsible for Betashares’ Direct investment platform, which aims to allow all Australian investors to financially progress, no matter where they are on their investment journey.

Since humble beginnings in 2010, Betashares has grown to be one of the leading ETF managers in the Australian market, and now manage >$60 billion of investor’s money across 100 funds which trade on the ASX. Needless to say, Ilan knows what it takes to start small, and grow big.

Ilan is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experiences in a clear, practical, and no-frills way to help investors who don’t know where to start, or just at the beginning, power on their own path.

Prior to Betashares, Ilan worked at global strategy consultants The Boston Consulting Group, focusing primarily on Private Equity and Financial Services. He started his career in Venture Capital, and was involved in building one of Australia’s first venture capital funds.

Ilan lives in Sydney with his family which includes his Bernese Mountain Dog, Bow. He’s also a self-confessed sneakerhead and is starting to run out of cupboard space to house his growing collection of limited edition sneakers. Ilan has a Bachelor of Commerce and Laws from the University of New South Wales.
