Hiro Taylor is Founder and CEO of HeroPay, a comparison shopping website helping small business merchants compare credit card processing providers. Hiro was most recently the Country Manager of Myanmar for Visa Inc., the world’s leading payments technology company.
As the Country Manager of Myanmar, Hiro led Visa’s business entry into the country, creating over $300 million in commerce despite the country’s antiquated telecommunications and banking infrastructure. During Hiro’s tenure, Myanmar was Visa’s fastest growing market globally. Hiro was also responsible for opening Visa’s first office in the country, hiring the company’s first Myanmar National employees, and completing the first international payments transaction that connected Myanmar merchants and banks to the international community.
Hiro has advised former U.S. Presidents, Nobel Prize Winners, and other Heads of State on topics ranging from emerging and digital payments technologies to financial inclusion, financial literacy, and payments policy. Hiro’s work and quotes can be found in publications such as The Economist, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes, amongst others.
Prior to his work in Myanmar, Hiro was a member of Visa’s Product Innovation team focused on the development of Visa’s early stage Mobile and Money Transfer technologies.
