Gillian Tan is the founder of TV production company Munkysuperstar Pictures and online TV channel Clicknetwork. She has an extensive directing portfolio including 11 TV shows, 34 online shows, and multiple online videos spanning over 17 years. Her directing portfolio includes various genres from reality shows and documentaries, to comedies and scripted dramas. As one of the pioneers of online video content in Singapore, she started Clicknetwork in 2007, which later became the first YouTube channel in Singapore to reach one million subscribers. Over the years, she has successfully monetized Clicknetwork through branded content videos, working on many online campaigns for companies like L’Oreal, Disney, Lululemon, Dyson and more.
She started her broadcast TV career in San Francisco in 2000, working for global ad agency TBWA and the US Federal Reserve Bank.
