Mr. Demeter is a Senior Associate at Pontifax AgTech. He leads the team’s investment focus in the Information Technology sector (for Agriculture) specifically focusing on the robotics/automation, sensors/imagery, agronomics and farm data management subsectors. Prior to joining the firm, Gil was an associate at Qualcomm Ventures, the venture capital arm of Qualcomm, Inc., where he focused on principal investment activities across the wireless space, specifically within the clean technology and IoT sub sectors.

Prior to Qualcomm Ventures, Gil worked for Piper Jaffray & Co. in their Technology Investment Banking Group, where he focused on a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financings. Before that, Gil was at Industry Ventures, a secondary private equity firm focused on acquiring venture capital investments in the technology sector.

Gil holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
