    Gabriela Denise Frank is a Seattle writer and author of "CivitaVeritas: An Italian Fellowship Journey." The book documents her experience living in an Italian hill town while on a residency fellowship sponsored by the Northwest Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies in Italy.

    An alumna of the Tin House Summer Workshop, A Room of Her Own Foundation (AROHO) summer retreat, Jack Straw Writers Program and Artist Trust’s EDGE Development Program for Literary Artists, Gabriela’s work has appeared in Brevity, The Rumpus, ARCADE, Word Riot and Bird’s Thumb, amongst others. In 2014, her Pushcart Prize-nominated short story, "Pas de Deux," was published in Behind the Yellow Wallpaper: New Tales of Madness, an anthology byNew Lit Salon Press.

    Frank’s work off the page unites literary art, performance and installation, transforming storytelling into experience. In 2014, she staged A Novel Performance, a month-long installation at Seattle’s Central Library during which she wrote the first draft of a novel as a live performance. In 2015, she premiered UGLY ME, a multi-media installation that explored concepts of value, identity and self-worth, at the Jack Straw New Media Gallery.
