Franciska Castillo joined Chapman University in 2015 and currently serves as their Director of Career and Professional Development. In this capacity, she is responsible for managing the department’s Employer Relations and Career Education efforts. Sheworks closely with department leadership to innovate and develop strategies and initiatives that cultivate and create employment opportunities, while maintaining positive relationships with Chapman's consistencies. This includes advancing resources and programs that address school-specific career development and employment needs of
Chapman students and alumni, as well as building strategic corporate and industry
alliances that result in internship and career opportunities for students and alumni.
Before joining Chapman University, Franciska worked with the Orange County
Workforce Development programs, primarily within the Orange County One Stop
Center, where she served as an Operations Supervisor, Lead Case Manager,
Workshop Facilitator and Recruiter. Prior to that, she served as a Career Consultant and Job Developer at ResCare Workforce Services, and coached Division I college softball at UC Riverside and California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). In addition, she was a Division I athlete at CSULB.
Her professional experience also includes serving as an adjunct professor in Chapman University’s Attallah College of Educational Studies’ Leadership Studies program.
Franciska received a double bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Human Development from CSULB and received her Master of Leadership Development degree fromChapman University.
