Erin Haywood's career as an educator and consultant has been grounded in critically thinking about some of the toughest societal issues like diversity and inclusion, accessible education, or workforce development. She is committed and passionate about continuing to learn, develop, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds to help forge a brighter future.

With 10 years of experience in various industries such as non-profit, education, and tech startups, Erin has partnered with several corporations, including Facebook, KPMG, and Prudential and more to diversify their applicant pool by developing solutions for their hiring needs. Recently, she joined projectBASTA, a non-profit committed to closing the employment gap for first-generation college students. As a Career Success & Operations Manager, she is developing a comprehensive online intervention program that leverages data and student-centered support aimed at increasing career readiness and professional development.

Outside of her 9 to 5, Erin founded Powered By Purpose Inc., an online community and career coaching service for professionals of color looking to plug into their purpose and level up in their careers. She has served hundreds of people and partnered with organizations like Blacks in Technology, She Designs-UX Course for Women of Color, Oregon State University, CSU Long Beach, etc. Receiving her MA in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University and BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in Africana Studies from SFSU, her mission is to empower her clients to live authentically by identifying root barriers to their development and success.
