Erika Wayo is Sr. Director, People Operations & Talent Development and has been with Zayo since June of 2016. In addition to leading Talent Development, she recently shifted focus to lead Zayo’s Community and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives. In this space, Erika has partnered internally and externally to enhance Zayo’s Community framework and foster a more inclusive environment by providing opportunities and resources for diverse voices to connect, collaborate, and educate others.
Prior to joining Zayo, Erika worked in the Human Resources function throughout her career with an emphasis on culture, inclusion, community, engagement, retention, talent acquisition, training, strategic partnering, organizational development, compliance, and mentorship at companies such as Noodles & Company, Sunflower Farmers Markets, Epsilon, and Wild Oats. Erika has supported and was the community lead and outreach for various programs and events at each of these organizations.
Erika and her family reside in Boulder, CO and she earned her MA in Organizational Change & Development from Hawaii Pacific University and a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources.
