Emily Austin

Research Analyst, MailChimp

Emily is an Analyst on the Data Science team at MailChimp, where she uses a variety of quantitative techniques to study user behavior. She works closely with qualitative researchers to develop a robust picture of customer needs and actions.

Prior to MailChimp, Emily worked for Nielsen Consumer Neuroscience, studying consumers' neurological response to various forms of advertising. She also worked in the Memory and Eyewitness Accuracy Laboratory at Georgia State University and the Center for Advanced Brain Imaging, where she researched visual cognition, perception, and memory.

In addition to user behavior and experience, Emily enjoys studying linguistics and conspiracy theories. A Run Lead for the Atlanta Track Club, you can find her on the trails when she's not in front of a screen.
