Ellen is the Community Manager for Hearken, which means she works with journalists around the country (and world!) to help them implement Hearken's process for public-powered journalism. She's a firm believer that engagement is about relationships, not clicks (but good relationship building leads to more clicks, if that's what you're into), and she thinks curiosity and delight should always have a place at the editorial table. She's also reported for WBEZ's Curious City and produced for the music podcast Pitch. Find her on the internet thinking out loud or in Humboldt Park making friends with strangers' dogs.
