Dr. Chih-Wen (James) Cheng is a Healthcare Data Scientist at Philips Wellcentive. He received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Cheng's work focus on applying advanced machine learning techniques to improve clinical decision support and medical financial process to facilitate quality-of-care. Dr. Cheng lead projects collaborating with clinical and research institutes from metro-Atlanta areas, including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia State University, and Shepherd Center. His tools and publications are applicable to areas of population health management, intensive care units, sickle cell disease, acute heart failure, pediatric psycho-disorder, and rehabilitation in traumatic brain injury.
