Doireann Herold is an Instructional Associate at General Assembly with a background in the arts, translation and hospitality. After several years of wanting to make the full leap into tech and after being laid off due to the pandemic, she entered the Software Engineering Immersive in 2020. For her capstone project at General Assembly she made an original concept mental health app that she is working to make into a much larger, free, open source and accessible tool for the public. After graduating from General Assembly, she coordinated and coached at an educational nonprofit/summer intensive program called All Star Code for young men of color to develop their coding skills and deepen their technological understanding before college. Doireann was brought back to General Assembly to teach and she hopes to be here for a long time.
