Seattle
An optimistic realist focused on new technologies, I recently joined Google's Design Relations team. Previously, I led the Emerging Tech group at Seattle-based digital agency POP, advising clients on how emerging tech can benefit their end users. I also enjoy leading UX through the full product development cycle for solutions that may include, but aren’t limited to, VR/AR, web/mobile, conversational UI, and machine learning. With a degree in Philosophy and Religion, I spend a lot of time thinking about ethically designing emerging technology.
I enjoy sharing my passion with others — whether that's through teaching at the School of Visual Concepts, mentoring others, or public speaking. My recent appearances include Seattle Interactive Conference, Seattle International Film Festival, and ConveyUX. Or you can find me onstage doing improv and on Twitter at @dqpdang.
Experiences include: web/mobile, VR/AR/MR, AI-powered conversation, user experience, product design, ethical tech, internal/external stakeholder relationship building, cross-functional team management, user research, sales/business development, public speaking.
