Devin Kidner has extensive experience in on-camera work, public speaking, and the local food/agriculture industry.
She founded and owns HOLLOW LEG (ahollowleg.com), dedicated to instilling folks with the know-how and confidence to make great alcoholic drinks using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.
She recently won a national cocktail competition through Slow Food USA, earning her a position as a delegate to Slow Food Internationalʼ s biannual Terra Madre conference, considered the Olympics of Food.
In addition, based on her public speaking skills, she was asked to moderate the American Speakeasy Workshop while at Terra Madre. Devin has been asked to present her cocktails both nationally and internationally, for companies like Dstillery and organizations like Slow Food USA. She is also the resident "Master Mixologist" at KOVAL Distillery, a Chicago-based distillery producing organic spirits, and RHINE HALL Distillery, Chicago's newest micro-distillery specialises in locally sourced apple grappas and brandies.
In the recent past, Devin was chosen to speak at the Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurshipʼs symposium, Recipe for Success, a conference for urban farmers and food entrepreneurs, held in May 2014.
She is currently on the board of Slow Food Chicago; has served as the Co-Chair of Club Sprouts, the children's program at Green City Market; and graduated with a Masters in Journalism from Medill at Northwestern University, where she specialized in Broadcast Journalism and Food Movements in the City of Chicago.
