As Director of People, Derek Johnson, MA, SHRM-SCP, leads Human Resources for Muve Health where he is responsible for developing and directing strategic people initiatives. As a member of the leadership team, Derek brings nearly 10 years of experience in Talent including acquisition, development, management, and retention. He is passionate about building scalable, inclusive institutional cultures where HR is a strategic advocate in today’s global workforce. Prior to joining Muve Health, Derek spent time crafting his skills at Google, Return Path, and CH2M Hill, as well as being a consultant for a number of technology-focused startups.
He is actively involved in the human resource community beyond his role at Muve Health, serving as a Co-Organizer for Denver Startup Week. He is regularly called upon as a guest speaker for events in the community along with being sought out for his contributions to local publications and blogs.
